The summit is a unique opportunity to network and collaborate with educational leaders, practitioners, and researchers who are actively engaged in UDL implementation efforts. The Summit provides an excellent opportunity to build your professional network, share resources, ideas, and lessons learned.
The goals of the Summit are to:
- Identify and disseminate models of UDL best practices.
- Identify and disseminate effective implementation tools.
- Support and expand the UDL implementation research base.
- Foster increased focus and collaboration around UDL implementation and research
The 2016 UDL-IRN Summit will be hosted by Dr. Nancy Grasmick, former superintendent of Maryland State Schools and Towson University’s first Presidential Scholar for Innovation in Teacher and Leader Preparation.
The Summit will take place at Towson University, Towson Maryland 21252 at the University Union Building. In addition to UDL Talks and concurrent breakout sessions, a wide variety of networking opportunities will be built into the Summit.
Several social events have been scheduled during the 2016 UDL-IRN Summit. There will be two Meet and Greet dinners. Meet and Greet dinners are an opportunity to informally network with UDL thought leaders, to get to know one another in a social setting-- to make connections. There will also be a happy hour social at the conclusion of the Summit.
